Hello, I’m Claire (she/her)
I’m a qualified counsellor based in Bristol who offers counselling for adults.
I offer a calm, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
Below, you can find out a little more about what counselling involves, how I work, and my background.
About Counselling
Counselling is an opportunity for you to talk about your thoughts and feelings in a confidential and supportive environment.
I believe it can be a powerful and healing process, a way of understanding ourselves and our stories with greater compassion and clarity.
About Me
I’ve always been fascinated by the human experience and drawn to self-reflection. I find it deeply meaningful to support people in understanding themselves better and finding greater ease in their lives.
I trained at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC), where I completed a Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling, accredited by both the BACP and UKCP. I’m a registered member of the Bristol Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and have regular supervision.
Alongside my private practice, I’ve worked with clients through the Swan Project and Bristol Mind, supporting people with a wide range of experiences and challenges.
My Approach
It can feel daunting to speak about personal experiences and emotions. My aim is to offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can feel safe and supported as we explore what feels important to you.
We’ll move at your own pace in our sessions, allowing time to reflect and make sense of things together. My intention is to support you in deepening your understanding of yourself and finding ways to live with greater ease and self-compassion.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw upon a range of therapeutic approaches and tools, depending on what feels most helpful for you as an individual.
I welcome people from all walks of life and aim to offer a space that feels inclusive and respectful of difference, including age, ethnicity, gender identity, religion, and sexual orientation.
People come to counselling for many different reasons. You might be struggling with something specific, or you might simply have a sense that things don’t feel quite right. Whatever brings you here, counselling can offer a space to explore what’s going on and find new ways of understanding and supporting yourself.
I have experience working with people around:
– Anxiety and stress
– Low mood and depression
– Relationship difficulties
– Self-esteem and confidence
– Life changes and transitions
– Grief and loss
– Identity and belonging
– Sexual identity
– Feeling stuck or uncertain
If you would like to discuss something not listed, please get in touch. Whatever you’re bringing, we can explore it together at your own pace.
I offer both time-limited and open-ended counselling, depending on what feels right for you.
Sessions last 50 minutes and cost £50.
I mostly work in-person from BS5, but also have some online slots.
I offer a free 15-minute phone call so we can talk about what brings you to counselling and see whether working together feels like a good fit.
